PCOS : Emotional Digestion

Emotions, Gut & PCOS – The Link

What's Included?

Emotional stress, grief, and psychological challenges can significantly impact women's health, particularly concerning Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and hormonal balance. Chronic stress disrupts the body's hormonal equilibrium, exacerbating PCOS symptoms. Elevated stress levels can lead to increased production of androgens, contributing to menstrual irregularities and other PCOS manifestations. Moreover, the gut-brain axis—a bidirectional communication system between the gastrointestinal tract and the brain—plays a crucial role in this dynamic. Emotional distress can alter gut microbiota composition, leading to dysbiosis, which in turn may worsen inflammation and insulin resistance, both key factors in PCOS development. In the "Emotional Digestion: Emotions, Gut & PCOS – The Link" session, participants will explore: - The Stress-PCOS Connection: Understanding how chronic stress and emotional challenges can disrupt hormonal balance and contribute to PCOS symptoms. - Gut Health's Role in Hormonal Regulation: Examining the impact of emotional well-being on gut microbiota and its subsequent effect on hormone levels. - Strategies for Emotional and Gut Health: Learning practical approaches to manage stress, support gut health, and alleviate PCOS symptoms through lifestyle modifications and dietary interventions. By delving into these topics, attendees will gain valuable insights into the interconnectedness of emotions, gut health, and PCOS, empowering them to make informed decisions for their well-being.
